I am a software developer at AppDirect based in Montreal. I enjoy many aspects of software development such as cloud infrastructure and distributed systems. I am also contributing to open source to an organization called Greenstand that is helping fight climate change.
I started watching Arsenal around 2000 shortly after Thierry Henry joined. I grew up playing basketball and that is where my passion for the Toronto Raptors came from. In my spare time I take pleasure in tutoring, cooking, and biking around Montreal.
As a full stack developer, I am currently working with a Java and React stack. For infrastructure-related work, I have optimized cloud infrastructure in Azure (AKS) using Python and Golang.
My first Arsenal game at the Emirates Stadium was against Aston Villa on September 22, 2019. Arsenal won 3-2 thanks to a a game-winning free-kick by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. This was also the game where Nicolas Pepe scored his first Premier League goal from the penalty spot. I planned a stopover in London just to watch this game live.
Whenever I have the chance, I jet-set to a new destination. My favourite travel destination has been Iceland. The scenery there is unlike any other place I have seen in person or in pictures. It looks like another world. Even the drive between destinations within Iceland was spectacular. There are so many little, unknown places that I have yet to discover and I will be returning soon to search for them.
